3/15/05 - Shanghai - rad Little, Marni Raab, Jarrod Carland.
Highlights of Act One only, unfortunately, running nearly 38 minutes. It includes Overture, Hannibal (incomplete - from the beginning to "he does so well opposite La Carlotta"), Think of Me, Angel of Music (mostly complete), The Mirror, The Phantom of the Opera (nearly complete), Music of the Night (incomplete), I Remember / Stranger Than You Dreamt It (from Marni waking up in bed until "secretly, secretly"), Prima Donna and All I Ask of You ("what was that" to the part where Raoul twirls her around after they kiss, then Brad's reprise ending with "the phantom asked of you," and finally a brief shot of the chandelier crashing). The picture quality is stunning. Each scene is labeled individually in both English and Chinese. DVD (A) LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT LINKS

February 4, 2006 - London - Earl Carpenter, Rachel Barrell, David Shannon (Earl's last)
Not my own review: Fantastic good sound and video quality, but has quite a few heads to film around. Some short blackouts occasionally, has both wide shots and closeups. Earl performs 'Stranger Than You Dreamt It' in his shirtsleeves, apparently he didn't have time to put on the hat and robe. Some action is blocked in the lower left corner, including the mirror bride during Music of the Night and the kiss during the final lair because too many heads are in the way. Grade: A- LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT LINKS

Not my own review: Absolutely amazing video of the two leads' final performance. The video is a multicamera shoot with shots flawlessly edited together, making for almost no blackouts and a ton of closeups. Almost no obstructions and very nice audio as well. This is a fantastic video! NOT AVAILABLE FOR TRADE

May 9, 2007 - Broadway - Gary Mauer, Jennifer Hope Wills, Jason Mills 2 discs.
Not my own review: Filmed from front row center-mezzanine; great color and sound, though image can be a little shaky at times; brief cover-ups as the chandelier rises and during Masquerade - nothing important missed. Contains an incredible flub - Buquet fails to appear for "Magical Lasso," and McFadden covers the whole thing, causing Giry to threaten her daughter! Watch for Mauer's nod to Jennifer after she gives back the ring. 2 DVDs A
